Does acupuncture actually work for fertility?
This is one of the most common questions I hear:
Does acupuncture actually work for fertility?
And I completely understand why people ask. Fertility work requires a deep level of trust—trust in your body, in the process, and in the practitioner you choose to work with. If I were in your position, I’d want to ask the same thing.
Here’s the truth: I would not be doing this work, especially in fertility, if I didn’t fundamentally believe in it.
What I See in Clinical Practice
Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with hundreds of people navigating fertility. While every body and every journey is different, I see consistent patterns of improvement when acupuncture is used thoughtfully and consistently.
Some of the changes I commonly see include:
More regular menstrual cycles
Less painful periods
Reduced PMS symptoms
Clearer and more consistent ovulation
Improved outcomes with egg retrievals
Better support during embryo transfers
And many healthy pregnancies and babies born
These changes don’t usually happen overnight. Fertility care is cumulative. But when the body receives regular support, it often begins to regulate in ways that create a stronger foundation for conception.
It’s Not Just Personal Experience
While my clinical experience is important, it’s not the only thing informing my work. There is also research showing that acupuncture can positively impact fertility—particularly by supporting hormonal regulation, improving blood flow to the reproductive organs, calming the nervous system, and reducing stress, which we know plays a significant role in reproductive health.
Fertility is never just one thing. It involves hormones, circulation, nervous system regulation, digestion, sleep, and emotional well-being. Acupuncture addresses the body as a whole, rather than isolating a single symptom or diagnosis.
Why I’m So Committed to This Work
I chose to specialize in fertility because I see how tender this chapter of life can be. People often come in feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from their bodies, or unsure of what to trust next.
Acupuncture offers a way to support the body that is gentle, individualized, and deeply regulating. While no treatment can promise a specific outcome, my goal is always to help your body move toward balance—and to support you through the process with care and honesty.
If I didn’t believe this work made a real difference, I wouldn’t still be doing it. I see its impact every day.
Acupuncture offers a holistic and natural solution to supporting your fertility & reproductive health as well as pregnancy & postpartum support.
