Meet The Acupuncturist

I get this question a lot from my patients - when did you decide to become an acupuncturist?

I’ve wanted to be an acupuncturist since I was 14 years old! I had been dealing with debilitating allergies and I tried acupuncture on the recommendation of a family friend. Needless to say, that appointment was life changing.

I felt such relief and something inside me said, “this is what you’re supposed to be doing.” That moment changed everything. I felt so heard and so supported in my acupuncture appointment, and I knew that I wanted to offer that to others.

When I graduated from my Master’s degree program (yup, acupuncturists all have a Master’s degree), I worked for a woman who specializes in fertility. I started seeing a lot of fertility patients and realized that I loved it. There is something so important in this work. My work and mentorship with her showed me that I could specialize and focus on reproductive health. I ended up completing more education and courses all focused on fertility and reproductive health.

When I started working more intentionally with fertility, I started to also see a lot of pregnant folks (who would have guessed!) Many of the people I had helped conceive wanted to continue acupuncture treatments to support their pregnancies and postpartum transition. It was then that I decided to move forward with a more advanced certification in maternity acupuncture, called Maternity Acupuncture Mentorship and Peer-support programs (MAMPS). This 9 month (lol) course focused on all complications, supports, and intention in maternity acupuncture. I see very few acupuncturists treating pregnant folks, so I am so happy to fill this niche and offer support to the Doylestown and greater Bucks County, PA area.

My practice is unique because I offer a personalized, compassionate approach to acupuncture. I specialize in treating fertility issues, hormonal imbalances, pregnancy symptoms, and postpartum recovery, using a holistic, integrative approach that considers your physical, emotional, and mental well-being. I believe in empowering my patients to be active participants in their health journey, providing them with education and support to make informed decisions. I hold a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, an ACAOM-accredited program where I completed over 2,500 hours of clinical training. In addition to my formal education, I have received specialized training in fertility support, reproductive health, and pregnancy care such as the Becoming Mama Program with Katie Altineu and Jane' Lyttleton’s advanced certification on fertility. I am also a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in PA and certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

My extensive education and hands-on experience allow me to provide effective, evidence-based treatments that address a wide range of symptoms, including hormonal imbalances, painful periods, and pregnancy-related discomforts and postpartum support.
