My Specialized Training in Pregnancy Acupuncture

At Raku Acupuncture, I’ve pursued additional, specialized training through the MAMPS certification to help support people through the unique challenges and transitions of pregnancy — with care that’s both evidence-informed and rooted in traditional wisdom.
What Is the MAMPS Program?
MAMPS stands for Maternity Acupuncture Mentorship & Peersupport Program — a comprehensive certification designed to deepen clinical expertise in this area.
Through MAMPS, I’ve studied:
Safe, effective treatment strategies for each trimester
Holistic support for common symptoms like nausea, back pain, fatigue, and anxiety
Techniques to prepare the body for labor
Acupuncture for breech positioning and overdue pregnancies
Postpartum healing, emotional support, and hormonal recovery
This mentorship gave me the opportunity to study with experts in the field and develop a more nuanced understanding of how to work with the body during pregnancy — not just to avoid harm, but to truly promote wellness and ease.
